Lineup Combo Master runs peer-to-peer daily fantasy contests across five sports using a nine-spot combo lineup format. Entrants build one lineup per contest and finish against every other entrant in that contest.
Every contest uses nine roster spots. The positions eligible for each spot depend on the sport, but the count stays fixed at nine, which keeps lineups comparable across contests and across sports.
| Sport | Roster spots | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| NFL | 9 | Includes a team-level Defense + Special Teams spot |
| NBA | 9 | Guard, forward and center eligibility per spot |
| MLB | 9 | Pitching and position-player spots |
| NHL | 9 | Skater and goaltender spots |
| WNBA | 9 | Guard, forward and center eligibility per spot |
The combo lineup format is the subject of U.S. Provisional Patent Application No. 63/910,202.
Each player carries a salary, and your nine selections must fit under the contest salary cap. The cap runs on a sliding scale from 50,000 to 60,000, so you set the threshold rather than working against a single fixed number.
Select your player pool, set the cap, and the patent-pending generator produces every mathematically valid lineup that exists within that range. Not a ranked sample of the best few by projection, but every combination your pool can build. Results come back in batches of 50 for review, and you pick the ones you want with a single click. The entry limit is 200 lineups per contest.
Everything happens in-platform. There is no CSV export, no third-party optimizer step and no re-import. A fuller comparison of that workflow against the export-and-reimport cycle is on the DFS alternative page.
Salaries are repriced from recent scoring performance and ranked within position, so pricing moves through the season rather than staying fixed to preseason projections.
Scoring is statistical and updates live as games progress. Every scoring category is listed in full on the rules and scoring page. Contests settle once the final game in the slate reaches its final state and statistics are confirmed.
Create an account, choose a contest for the sport and slate you want, build your nine-spot lineup under the cap, and submit before lock. A fuller walkthrough is on the how to play page, and the full terms are on the terms of use page.
